Simple Birthday

Hello again. Today I needed a simple and quick card for a friend so I decided to use a stencil with distress inks. The stencil is from The Crafter’s Workshop and is called Mini Chicken Wire Reversed. I’ve just laid it in position and used a piece of makeup foam to dab the distress ink over it. I’ve let the colours blend where they overlap – overall quite a pretty look I think. The sentiment is one I created on the computer and cut out using Spellbinder’s Nestabilities Labels Four.

I didn’t have any coloured sequins to match to I coloured some clear ones with copic markers using the closest colours I had.

Nice an quick and very effective! Hope you give it a try.

Cheers for now!

  1. Wish I was as crafty as you. I have so much colored and printed paper to make stuff with, besides stickers. But I’m just stumped when I pull them all out to make even a card. So I always end up just buying another card, instead. I’m sure making one would be more meaningful to the receiver. Thanks for the ideas you’ve shared here.

    • Thanks so much for your comment! I’m glad you like my cards:)
You can do it! Sometimes it’s best not to think about it too much – just give it a go! I’d love to see what you create 😀
