Awww, a new baby!

Hi all, I’m running late… again! Anyway, I got there in the end!

This week I have a card celebrating the arrival of a new baby.

P1100849

This little guy is soooo cute! He and the greeting are from the Kaisercraft set “Bunder of Joy – New Arrival”. I’ve stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured him with Copic markers (I’m not terribly happy with the brown bar at the bottom – I’ll have try a different method next time.) The ribbon and button are from my stash.

Hope you like it!

Cheers for now

Gesso Dots

Hi out there! Hope you’re all well.

Here’s this weeks card.

P1100695

I got the idea for this one from Creative Cardmaking magazine (Issue 61). I’e stamped the image with gesso using a stamp from the Inkadinkadoo set “Dot Flourishes”. The gesso works beautifully – just use a very light hand and remember to clean off the stamp straight away. The flower comes from American Crafts’ Amy Tangerine Delights paper flowers pack.

I like the texture you get using gesso and the contrast of the white on black. The flower adds just a touch of colour. Hope you like it!

Happy Mother’s Day!

Hi all, hope all the Mums out there are having a wonderful day. I certainly am! Bubbles and chocolate always make me happy 🙂

Here’s today’s card:

P1110226

I’m not very happy with this one… somehow it feels a bit unfinished but I can’t put my finger on it.  Anyway, the leaves are from the Peachy Keen set by Kaisercraft (stamped with Versafine Vintage Sepia) and the sentiment is from Papercraft’s Family set. I’ve stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink and heat embossed it with white embossing powder (but I had to draw the apostrophe in with white gel pen! – one of my pet peeves)  Sorry… back on track now… the paper flowers come from a pack I’ve had forever as did the pearl brad.

Cheers for now

Birthday Note

Hi everyone. We’ve had our first dose of winter this weekend – two jumpers and ugg boots weather – I’ve even put the electric blanket on my bed! Goodbye summer!

Anyway, here’s this weeks card:

P1100581

The paper is from DCWV’s Citrus Stack and the yellow strip was punched with Fiskar’s Notebook Border punch. The flower was punched using EK Success’ medium Retro Flower punch. The sentiment is from TPC Studio’s Celebration set and it’s stamped with Versafine Vintage Sepia ink. I’ve used crochet thread and a button to finish it off.

Hope you like it!

Cheers for now
