Hi all! So I wasn’t feeling the creative vibe last week. You know how it is. I sat at my table and inspiration just didn’t strike. So I decided to cut up some card bases.
This should last me a little while! I buy my white cardstock from Officeworks. It is called Mondi Color Copy 250gsm. It comes in reams of 125 A4 sheets and, while it’s a bit on the pricey side at $16.45 a ream, I can get 250 cards (excluding stuff ups of course!). The cream cardstock is also from Officeworks. I’ve had it for a while but I think it is Spilman 200gsm Tinted Board. It’s not a smooth as the Mondi cardstock but is very sturdy. I don’t remember where the black or the kraft cardstock came from but, as with the cream, they are good quality and work well for me.
I had a rubber stamp custom made some time ago. While I love it, I usually put the year on the back of my cards. So I took a leaf out of my lovely Mum’s book (hi Mum :D). When she has finished painting a piece of china she signs the bottom and uses a system of dots to indicate the year it was finished. So I decided to colour the centre heart in the design with a different colour to help me remember when the card was created. 2015 is red!
Inspiration did strike eventually!
The die is from Impression Obsession and I’ve cut it twice. Once with an old book page that I’ve stuck to some 100gsm card and once on some red cardstock. Then I cut the red hearts from the stems and stuck them on top of the book page ones and covered them with Ranger’s Glossy Accents. The greeting is from Papercraft – Sentiments Adults.
Hope you like it! Cheers for now.
