Watercolour Backgrounds

Hi everyone, it’s been a while. But I’ve been making lots of cards!

I created the flower on this card with a stamp from Jillibean Soup’s set “Give Thanks”. I’ve stamped it on watercolour paper and the coloured it with Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Festive Berries and Mustard Seed. The panel at the bottom is made by stamping Kaisercraft’s Morocco Texture Stamp on vellum with Versamark ink and embossing it with white embossing powder. It is stuck to the red cardstock in the background. I’ve finished it off with a button in centre of the flower, some sequins and a birthday stamp.

For this one I created the watercolour piece using watercolours my Mum gave me (hi Mum!) and I used the same Kaisercraft stamp embossed on vellum for the bottom panel. The flower is cut using Tim Holtz “Tattered Flowers” die and finished off with a button and some embroidery floss.

And now for something completely different… a one layer card. I found it very daunting working directly on the cardbase as we all do I think. The teddy bear stamp is from the Small Bear set by Hot Off The Press. I’ve coloured it using my Derwent Studio pencils and the greeting stamp is from Lawn Fawn’s “Critters Down Under” Set.

Hope you like these cards. Thanks for stopping by!
